Bank Leumi's Debut Senior International Bond Wins Top Award From GlobalCapital

Bank Leumi's (TASE: LUMI) $500m senior international bond issued in July 2022 was awarded "CEEMA Corporate or Financial Institution Bond of the Year" for 2022 by international capital markets publication, GlobalCapital.
GlobalCapital is a leading international capital markets publication and is part of the Euromoney Institutional Investor group.
"As, with all the best new bonds in 2022, timing was key" wrote GlobalCapital's George Collard and Oliver West. "Bank Leumi came to market on July 20 (2022), when many issuers believed investors had left for their summer holidays". Leumi was able to issue "a debut senior bond and managed to print it very close to investment grade peers in developed markets".
Last week, Bank Leumi successfully placed $500m of Tier 2 Subordinated Green Notes with leading institutional investors abroad and in Israel in the bank's inaugural Green Bond issuance. Proceeds of the issuance will be used by Leumi to finance eco-friendly projects.
